Santander AM strengthens European equity team
Santander Asset Management has strengthened its Madrid based European equity team with the appointment of Leticia Santaolalla.
She will report to José Antonio Montero de Espinosa, equity manager for Spain and Europe, and will manage the funds Santander Acciones Euro, Santander Euro Equity and Santander Açoes Euro, together with the pension scheme Santander RV Europa Pensiones. Santaolalla will manage a combined AUM of about €870m.
Santaolalla comes from Aviva Gestión, where she joined in 2005 as senior manager of European equities, where she managed assets totalling €1bn. He was responsible for Aviva Eurobolsa and the pension funds’ European equity portfolios.
Previously, between 1998 and 2005, he worked for Caixa Catalunya Gestión as an equity fund manager and where he was responsible for the funds Caixa Catalunya Bolsa Europa and Caixa Catalunya Sanidad.
