French quantitative asset manager Sagara Financière has launched the Sagara Patrimonial fund on 22 March 2018, InvestmentEurope can reveal.
The fund is co-run by Denis Gerber and Guillaume Nicoulaud. It consists of 11 positions exposed to equity, bond, gold and money markets.
It combines two different quantitative drivers, one risk parity approach that focuses on risk allocation rather than capital allocation and another that manages the exposure of the fund to the markets covered aimed to lower its volatility and global level of risk.
The equity exposure (direct investments, funds and ETFs) is capped to 50% of the fund’s net assets while that of fixed income may vary from 0% to 100%. Commodities can be invested at a maximum of 15% through contracts, funds and ETFs. Money markets’ exposure could go up 100% of the Sagara Patrimonial fund.
The strategy seeks to outperform the Eonia capitalised + 2.5% and launches with over €3.2m in assets.
Sagara Financière was portrayed last November on InvestmentEurope‘s website.
