The Dutch firm PGGM Investments has appointed David Jerez as an investment manager for the firm’s infrastructure unit.
Jerez joined PGGM from Aviva Investors where he worked as associate-infrastructure for nearly five years based in London. There, he first was responsible for infrastructure debt origination across sectors and later moved to the infrastructure equity team, focusing on low carbon and telecoms mostly from the UK.
Before his time at Aviva Investors, Jerez worked as co-head of Data, Europe and Latin America at Mergermarket, responsible for acquiring infrastructure finance data in Europe and LatAm. He also worked as a research analyst at Inframation in London for around one year and a half, where – among other tasks – he had to develop relationships with global infrastructure investment managers, institutional investors and senior project finance bankers in new markets.
