Kames Capital has appointed Rachel Robinson as senior asset manager reporting to Philip Bach, head of active value property at Kames, who joined the group last week.
In her new role, she will support the company’s active value strategies. In July 2016, Kames launched a second version of its closed-ended Active Value property fund, it addition to its existing UK Active Value Property Unit Trust, which raised £275 million.
Commenting on the appointment, Bach said: “We believe that there is considerable opportunity to buy good quality secondary assets within the £5m to £15m price bracket, outside of the London and certain South East hotspots.”
Robinson joins Kames from Aviva Investors where she was an asset manager in the High Street Retail and Shopping Centre team, working on the identification and implementation of strategic retail asset management initiatives.
