Asian asset manager Harvest Global Investments has launched its first Ucits-compliant fund, the Harvest China Evolution Equity Fund.
The fund will primarily invest in equity or equity-related securities and will provide exposure to Hong Kong listed securities, China companies listed as ADRs and domestic A-share stocks via the stock connects.
Harvest’s first Ucits fund will be managed by Yannan Chenye, portfolio manager and head of China Research at Harvest.
Chenye joined Harvest in 2015 from Amundi Asset Management, where she was Greater China investment manager.
The fund relies on an alpha-driven investment strategy combining bottom-up fundamental research with top-down sector allocation and proprietary risk management to exploit market inefficiencies.
The Harvest China Evolution Equity Fund seeks to benefit from on structural economic changes, investing in Chinese companies from the “new China economy” (technology, alternative energy, healthcare,…).
The fund is currently available to institutional and wholesale investors in the UK, Luxembourg, Finland and Switzerland. Further registrations for distribution in other jurisdictions are later expected.
