London-based hedge fund Odey Asset Management, run by Crispin Odey, has received the green light of Spanish financial market authority CNMV on 27 July 2018 for the distribution of the LF Odey Funds range – a UK-domiciled ICVC – in Spain, InvestmentEurope has learned.
The range shelters the long-short Ucits LF Odey Absolute Return fund co-managed by James Hanbury and Jamie Grimston. The fund was launched in May 2009 and seeks to achieve positive absolute return over a 12-month period.
It forms the third fund registered by Odey AM in Spain after the long-only Ucits Odey Pan-European and Odey European Focus funds.
Odey Asset Management was established in 1991.
