Spain’s asset management industry saw a 1.5% decrease in September compared to the previous month, industry association Inverco has revealed.
The country’s fund industry total AUM dropped to €214.6bn in September after having witnessed outflows of €3.3bn compared with August.
The Spanish AM sector has seen a slowdown in inflows over the past months, which Inverco has attributed to the high levels of volatility in the markets.
The biggest outflows came from global equities with -€907.6m. This negative result was followed by that of mixed fixed income funds with -€637.7m and by Spanish equities with -€479m.
