La Française Investment Solutions (“LFIS”), part of French asset management group La Française, has seen its assets increased by 140% to $6bn as of end-December 2016.
Inflows into the firm’s premia and solutions funds were the main contributors. Assets have also risen in LFIS’ dedicated funds business to $4bn as of 31 December 2016.
The firm has set a medium-term target of managing $10bn in assets. It has also unveiled plans to commercialise an enhanced long volatility strategy targeting institutional investors and to launch a “next generation” risk parity fund for the wealth manager and retail segments.
It is understood new hires are planned in both portfolio management and quantitative research teams. In 2017, LFIS will seek to pursue its international growth, with a particular focus on the North American market.
