The International Investment Funds Association (IIFA) has elected Paul Schott Stevens as president and Thomas Richter as vice president during its annual general meeting held in Canberra, Australia.
Paul Schott Stevens is president and CEO of the Washington-based Investment Company Institute (ICI). Thomas Richter is CEO of the German asset management association BVI. Both will be responsible for strengthening the position of the fund industry globally in the light of global regulatory reforms.
The IIFA aims to represent the interests of the fund industry globally and acts as bridge between bodies such as the OECD, IOSCO, FSB and industry practitioners, the combined assets of its members exceed €32trn.
