Franklin Templeton Investments has strengthened its UK institutional team with the appointments of Clive Paine and Steven Gardner, as director and associate director respectively.
Both Paine and Gardner will be based in London and will report to Jill Barber, head of UK Institutional.
In his new role, Paine will have responsibility for building relationships across the UK institutional market and will focus on new business generation. He joins from Lyxor Asset Management where he was head of Institutional Sales, UK. Prior to Lyxor, he worked at HSBC Alternative Investments.
Gardner will assume responsibility for a number of client relationships at Franklin Templeton and joins from TopQ Software Limited where he was Business Development Director responsible for sales and client relations. Prior to this, he held a senior client service role at Baring Asset Management having joined there from the institutional client service team of Baillie Gifford & Co.
