Carlos Ortiz has been appointed as international fixed income research analyst at Franklin Templeton.
He joins the European fixed income team within the Franklin Templeton fixed income group.
In his new position, Ortiz will support the European Fixed Income efforts and his research coverage will focus on pan-European sovereign bonds. Based in London, he reports to David Zahn, head of European Fixed Income.
Formerly, Ortiz was an economist at UniCredit Bank in London. He researched CEE economics and fixed income strategy as chief economist for Slovenia, Serbia, and Turkey.
Before that, he worked as an analyst at Moody’s Investors Service in Frankfurt, where he delivered sovereign and supranational credit risk analysis of 14 EMEA countries and three multi-lateral development banks in Europe.
Franklin Templeton’s AUM reach $806bn (€708.7bn) as of 31 August 2015.
