Fidelity names head of ESG team

Fidelity International (Fidelity) has appointed Michael Gibb to the newly created position of head of Stewardship and Sustainable Investing.
Gibb (pictured) will be responsible for overseeing Fidelity’s strategy and policies on engagement, voting and Environmental Social Governance (ESG) integration across its active product range. Reporting to CIO Equities Europe Paras Anand, Gibb will lead the company’s existing ESG team, helping to advance the integration of ESG factors within the firm’s investment processes.
With nearly 30 years’ financial experience, Gibb started his career as a portfolio manager in Asian equities. He also worked at a wide range of investment companies including Martin Currie Investment Management, Credit Suisse, and Gartmore Investment Managers.
