Bianconi will leave the group at the end of August, when the bank will appoint his successor.
It is understood that the decision has been pushed by Banca d’Italia, which asked for a management change at the bank.
Banca Marche has over 300 branches in central Italy. It was created in mid 90s, following a merger between cooperative banks in Macerata, Pesaro and Jesi, which still control the group.
