Antipodes Partners (Antipodes), the $4bn boutique Australian investment manager, has appointed Andrew Gibson as a senior investment analyst.
Gibson, who covers the global industrial and commodity sectors, is the 14th member of the Antipodes investment team. He joins sector head Chris Connolly in London.
The expansion of Antipodes’ team is another step forward for the group, which earlier this year opened a dedicated office in London, its first location outside of Australia. This coincided with Antipodes’ unveiling of a Ucits version of its flagship long/short global equity fund, which launched with a $125m cornerstone investment from a blue-chip institution.
Prior to joining Antipodes, Gibson was a European industrials specialist at Deutsche Bank for eight years. He also held roles at Morgan Stanley and Deloitte & Touche.
