Investor Analytics has opened a London office to meet demand across Europe for its risk analysis and risk management solutions.
The business will be led by David Fletcher as director of European Sales. He joins from MSCI/RiskMetrics where he was head of Transparency for Europe, and previously head of UK Sales. Prior to his 11 years at RiskMetrics, he sold fixed income instruments for the Royal Bank of Canada in London.
The firm, founded in 1999, is headquartered in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey with offices in Midtown Manhattan.
In the last year, IA’s client base has more than doubled, with new clients including hedge funds, pension funds, money market funds, mutual funds, managed account platforms and funds of funds, the firm said.
New business developments are attributed to IA’s Risk Transparency platform, client services, and customers’ need for intuitive, robust and usable risk tools. Damian Handzy, CEO of Investor Analytics said the new London office will allow the firm to continue strong growth as a global leader in risk analysis and risk management services. Fletcher said he aims to develop the rapidly growing client base in Europe.
Market risk continues to dominate the financial sector and hedge funds in particular. Increasingly, the trend among fund managers and investors has been to partner with third-party risk management specialists who provide an independent assessment of a fund’s risk profile to enable a portfolio manager to safeguard their investments.
In 2009, IA jointly announced their strategic alliance with BNY Mellon to provide enterprise-wide risk management and reporting and has written numerous whitepapers on risk management.
