Spain’s Banco Sabadell president Josep Oliu has inaugurated the opening of the bank’s two representative offices in Bogota and Lima.
Both Colombia and Peru are two strategic countries in the company’s growth plans in Latin America, as the partnership with Colombian bank GNB Sudameris has also proved.
Juan Manuel Santos, president of Colombia, was also present at the office opening, Banco Sabadell said.
Banco Sabadell said Colombia’s 4% growth rate since the beginning of the year makes it an interesting spot to look at for investments as well as the fourth economy in the region.
The Lima office will instead be open later this week and fits the same growth-pursuing aim as the Colombian one.
Banco Sabadell also said that its current business volumes in America stand at some $16bn.
