Russell Investments has announced the appointment of Elise Cardon as portfolio manager for its London-based global currency management and trading team.
Cardon will focus on establishing, directing and implementing currency trading and management strategies.
Prior to joining Russell Investments, she spent three years at Optim Invest where she developed a start-up currency management firm. She has also held positions at JP Morgan where she was a currency product manager, and State Street Global Advisors (SSgA).
Joseph Hoffman, global director for equity derivatives & foreign exchange at Russell Investments, said: “Unintended currency exposure can swamp the returns of an international portfolio and failing to take action has the potential to be costly. Elise will play an important role as we look to expand our FX offering and enhance our capabilities to deliver superior currency services to institutions around the globe.”
