Schroders has appointed Alexander Prawitz as Frankfurt-based head of Distribution covering Central- and Eastern Europe as well as the Mediterranean, coinciding with a strategic expansion of its Frankfurt office.
Prawitz spent the last five years as director at Schroders’ Hong Kong offices, where he was in charge of large-scale institutional clients for the Asian market. Prior to that, he was responsible for the groups’ wholesale distribution in Germany and Austria. In his new role, he will be reporting to Achim Küssner, managing director of Schroders’ German subsidiary Schroder Investment Management GmbH.
His return to Frankfurt reflects Schroders’ strategic expansion of the geographic reach for its Frankfurt offices. Schroders already coordinates its sales efforts in Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia from Frankfurt. In addition to that, it will now also cover the Baltic nations as well as Southern European countries such as Bulgaria, Greece, Malta and Cyprus.
“Business development in the Southern- and Eastern European regions is one of the largest strategic growth initiatives for Schroders” comments Achim Küssner. “We are delighted to direct this expansion from Frankfurt and with Alexander Prawitz, we have won an expert to our team” he adds.
