BCGE Asset Management, the investment arm of Banque Cantonale de Genève, has seen its Synchrony fund range hitting the CHF2bn threshold for the first time on 1 March 2017.
The Synchrony range is comprised of over 30 funds (with more than 50 units), divided into a number of categories:
- equity funds (52% of assets): worldwide or regional approach (Switzerland, Europe, United States or developing economic areas);
- bond funds (23%): focused exclusively on the highest quality counterparties in CHF or EUR;
- active allocation funds (21%): three profiles (defensive, balanced and dynamic);
- a property fund (4%): active selection in the Swiss real estate market.
Some 8% of assets are managed for purposes of pension planning and 16% are managed to meet high level requirements regarding ethical and environmental investments.
The Synchrony funds are distributed within the European Union, particularly in France.
“The strong business growth of our funds is attributable both to a constant innovative effort and to maintaining a policy of stable and strict management”, said Constantino Cancela, head of BCGE Asset Management.
