The awards categories include Gold, Silver and Bronze awards in the areas of annuities, banking, brokerage, credit cards and mutual funds. The awards are calculated using Corporate Insight’s proprietary grading criteria.
Gold awards are presented for website features that offer users an exceptionally valuable and comprehensive service in a user-friendly, well-designed interface, the company said.

Corporate Insight noted that the past year was one of rebuilding for asset management firms. Websites were upgraded, and new tools and calculators launched to keep clients invested.
Mutual fund firms released 25 advisor-targeted tools and eight retail investor-focused tools that addressed a wide range of issues, including college savings, portfolio building and fund performance, it said.
