Janus Capital hires Nagele as UK head
Janus Capital International, the international arm of Janus Capital Group, has appointed Matthew Nagele as head of UK for Janus’ European business.
Janus Capital International, the international arm of Janus Capital Group, has appointed Matthew Nagele as head of UK for Janus’ European business.
Nagele will report to Augustus Cheh, CEO of Janus Capital International, and be responsible for leading the firm’s push into the UK and European institutional, wholesale and retail markets together with Nigel Austin, the firm’s chief operating officer of UK and EMEA.
He joins from Castle Trust where he was managing director of distribution. Prior to Castle Trust he also managed distribution at Old Mutual Asset Managers. He has over a decade of experience in the fund management industry.
“Matthew has a great breadth of experience in the fund management industry. His extensive relationship management skills, combined with his global industry knowledge, make him well suited to this role,” said Cheh.
“Janus is a leading global asset management business with a reputation for the quality of its research and performance. There is a tremendous opportunity to develop and grow the business in the UK and Europe, and I am very much looking forward to doing just that,” added Nagele.
