Hemscott rebrands as Morningstar
Hemscott, the market data business acquired by Morningstar in early 2008 is to rebrand under the Morningstar name.

The rebranding covers Hemscott IR, Hemscott Equity Data, Hemscott Company Guru, and the Hemscott Adviser Rankings Guide.
Kunal Kapoor, president of Morningstar’s equity data business said: “Our
listed and private company data is well-known to UK investors, and under the Morningstar brand this important area of our business will be better positioned for international growth. “
The new brands are:
– Hemscott IR is now Morningstar Investor Relations Services.
– Hemscott Equity Data is now Morningstar Equity Licensed Data.
– Hemscott Company Guru is now Morningstar Company Intelligence
– The Hemscott Adviser Rankings Guide is now Morningstar Professional Services
Rankings Guide, with an “All-Market Edition” and an “AIM Edition.”
The Hemscott investment research website, www.hemscott.com, will keep its existing URL until the first quarter of 2012. The company plans to gradually migrate all existing Hemscott.com data and services, including its Premium Account services and the National Storage Mechanism, to www.morningstar.co.uk.
