Amundi ETF has listed on the Italian stock exchange three new ETFs on US government securities.
The range of ETFs seeks to replicate as closely as possible the performance of the Markit iBoxx $ Treasuries, consisting in USD bonds issued by the US Treasury, with maturities of 1-3, 3-7 and 7-10 years.
The range is offered at ongoing charges of 0.14%.
Currently, US government bonds are offering higher yields than the European equivalent for each maturity, Amundi ETF said.
A rise in US interest rates is expected in the next twelve months, but it will be gradual and should have a limited impact on the curve of long-term rates. Also US dollar plays the role of safe haven amid turbulences in the European markets, it said.
“We are happy to quote on the Italian Borsa these three ETFs on US government bonds with different maturities. Amundi ETF offers a full range of exposure to fixed income at competitive prices, allowing investors to diversify their portfolio and supporting them in their search for yield,” said Fannie Wurtz, managing director of Amundi ETF & Indexing Smart Beta.
