La Française GIS hires credit expert
La Française Global Investment Solutions (La Française GIS) has announced the appointment of credit derivatives specialist Michael Hattab-Maruani as a Senior Credit portfolio manager.
Hattab-Maruani’s investment banking and derivatives experience complements La Française GIS’ existing credit capabilities, which offer investors a flexible approach to credit investing and whose long-standing expertise spans the asset class.
Hattab-Maruani will be based in Paris and joins the team managing La Française GIS’ flagship credit opportunities strategy, which has produced annualized returns of 12% since inception in 2013 (as of August 31, 2015).
Hattab-Maruani’s hire is especially well timed as La Française GIS readies the launch of a Ucits credit vehicle.
He was formerly head of the US Credit Equity Proprietary Trading desk at BNP Paribas, having worked previously as a Senior Correlation Trader at Société Générale.
