Architas, a UK-based investment company of French AXA Group has announced the promotion of Sarah Ackland as head of its UK fund division while Frank Potaczek is set to replace her as the new head of UK proposition.
In her new role, Ackland will be in charge of all commercial aspects of the firm’s UK business, including distribution, marketing, proposition and business development. She replaces Cedric Bucher who is leaving to take up a role in the institutional pensions sector.
Ackland has been at Architas since 2014 having spent the previous seven years as a sales director at Thames River and then F&C after its acquisition.

Frank Potaczek will be reporting to her and oversee the existing fund ranges offered by Architas in the UK as well as the development of discretionary management services, and manage future product and proposition strategy.
He joins from Defaqto, where he held the position of senior vice president covering Funds and discretionary fund managers (DFM). Prior to that, he held senior roles at Intrinsic Financial Services, Close Brothers Asset Management, Legal & General Investments, Threadneedle Investments, and F&C Asset Management.
