Bolsas y Mercados Españoles (BME), the Spanish exchange operator, has appointed Marta Bartolomé as chief financial officer.
Bartolomé will be responsible for the economic and financial management of the group, which integrates the comptroller, treasury, risk management tax and suppliers areas. Besides, she will head the general services area and will join the group’s coordination committee.
She is also a board director of the group’s central counterparty, BME Clearing, and a member of its audit committee.
Prior to this, she had worked as the comptroller of the BME Group since 2003 and was actively involved in the company’s IPO, in 2006. In 1999 she joined SENAF and later on she became the CFO of MF Holding, which comprised MEFF, AIAF and SENAF, all of which are now part of BME. Previously, she had worked for Deloitte.
Bartolomé holds a degree in Business Science – specialising in Finance – from CUNEF and holds an Executive MBA Degree from the Instituto de Empresa in Madrid.
