London-based asset manager Columbia Threadneedle Investments is expanding its global investment capabilities with infrastructure assets.
The company has appointed three senior managers to join Heiko Schupp who has been appointed to the newly created role of global head of infrastructure investments.
He joined Columbia Threadneedle Investments in September 2017 from Hastings Fund Management. Schupp has more than 20 years of infrastructure experience, including at Pantheon Ventures, Bank of Scotland and Pricewaterhouse Coopers.
The team also includes Ash Kelso as head of Asset Management in Infrastructure, Antonio Botija as head of Acquisitions and Ingrid Weston as senior portfolio manager.
Schupp and his team will develop infrastructure investment solutions for European investors, drawing on Columbia Threadneedle research. In addition, they will work closely with the ESG Responsible Investment team, not only in risk management, but also to identify investment goals with a clear focus on sustainable business models.
