Spektrum Fondsmæglerselskab, the Danish advisory and portfolio management provider, has appointed Søren Dal Thomsen as CEO, as the organisation continues to target growth of assets under advice and management to €7bn in the next five years, from €4.4bn currently.
Thomsen is former CEO of AP Pension, and joins on 1 November. He will also join the Kirstein Group as director of Kirstein Agg. Holding, which owns Spektrum Fondsmæglerselskab and Kirstein.
At Spektrum he joins Jesper Kirstein – who established advisory firm Kirstein, formerly Kirstein Finansrådgivning, in 1993, and from which Spektrum originated as a business – who is on Spektrum’s board of directors, and Andreas Weilby, who is COO.
Kirstein said: “In Spektrum we have large ambitions, also including growth, which will benefit our clients. It is therefore with great pleasure that I welcome Søren to the “Kirstein Group. I have known Søren for many years, and I know that he is both skilled and ambitious, so I look forward to our cooperation. With Søren as CEO, the board and I are convinced that Spektrum has an even brighter future.”
Thomsen (picured right above) added: “I have always been interested in investing, and the position as CEO of Spektrum fulfills my desire to offer investors world-class advice and investment management. Spektrum has growth on the agenda, a great team and the same approach to investments like me. I’m looking forward to execute.”
