Digital asset manager Scalable Capital has appointed Thiemo Krink as chief investment officer (CIO).
Krink will be responsible for the development of asset manager’s quantitative and computer-driven investment approach with the mastermind behind the proprietary risk management technology, co-founder and scientific advisor Stefan Mittnik, as well as managing director and co-founder Florian Prucker.
The computer scientist joins Scalable Capital from Allianz Global Investors, where he was Europe’s portfolio risk manager and most recently served as multi asset, alternative and insurance portfolio manager.
Before that, he worked for Allianz as an investment manager in Munich and Milan and implemented a system for strategic portfolio optimisation.
Prior to joining Allianz, he was associate professor of Computer Science at Aarhus University in Denmark.
