Rodrigo Utrera has been named head of European equities at BBVA AM, the Spanish asset manager has announced.
Utrera, who will lead a team of four professionals, has extensive experience as an analyst and investment manager. Prior to BBVA AM, he was equity portfolio manager at Aviva Gestion for over two years.
Previously, Utrera spent almost ten years as an analysts and investment manager at Spain’s asset manager Belgravia.
BBVA AM said Utrera’s appointment strengthens the asset manager’s commitment to generating value through analysis, consistency and valuation of companies.
Juan Luis Martinez continues to be head of Dividend Funds and Silvia Ipiña remains as responsible for Spanish equity products — BBVA Bolsa and BBVA Bolsa Plus.
