Paris-based investment company UBS La Maison de Gestion has appointed Sébastien Korchia as executive director of its equity division, the firm announced.
He will take part to the management of the LMdG Smid cap and LMdG Action Rendement Euroes funds and will also be key in the forthcoming launch of a family and entrepreneurial business-focused fund, a segment in which he tallies over 15 years’ experience.
Korchia was previously chief executive officer and head of Equities at Meeschaert Asset Management, having managed the MAM Entreprises Familiales since inception in 2002.
He started his career at in the private wealth management unit of French broker Ferri before joining Financière Meeschaert in 1998. Korchia later integrated the mandate and fund management teams at Meeschaert.
UBS La Maison de Gestion was established in October 2017, resulting from an alliance between La Maison, a private investment club gathering European ultra-high-net-worth families, including Serge Dassault, Alain Mérieux, Maurice Lévy and Xavier Niel, and UBS France, the French subsidiary of Swiss group UBS.
