DWS has made changes to its Equities business with the appointment of Petra Pflaum. She succeeds Tim Albrecht who will leave the German asset manager after 20 years of service at the end of 2018.
Pflaum will assume direct responsibility for German, Austria and Switzerland (DACH) Equities platform. This appointment ensures the continued simplification of DWS global investment platform, following the integration of the Investment Group earlier this year.
She will continue as EMEA co-head of Equities and CIO for Responsible Investments.
Christoph Ohme will become the lead portfolio manager for DWS Deutschland, DWS Investa and Deutsche Invest I German Equities and Hansjoerg Pack will become lead portfolio manager for DWS Aktien Strategie Deutschland. Both have worked on these funds and alongside Albrecht for many years.
Petra brings vast experience and a strong track record to this role having had a number of leading positions at DWS. She has worked closely with Albrecht for many years, sharing the same investment philosophy based on our excellent proprietary research.
Albrecht will join Berengberg as head of German Equities in Wealth and Asset Management on 1 January 2019. He started his career in 2000 at DWS, where he is currently head of Equities for the German-speaking countries. Before that he was head of German Equities and global sector head for Industrials, among other positions.
