Smith & Williamson appointed Ben Rumary as an associate sales director to support its fund business.
Rumary joins Smith & Williamson from Axa investment managers where he spent more than five years as an investment sales manager. Prior to that, he held the post of regional sales manager for LV AM and the same role at Old Mutual AM.
He will report to Ed Rosengarten, head of funds at Smith & Williamson, and will work alongside Andrew Groves and Tim Rea in its well-established sales team to promote its funds – which include the enterprise fund, the short dated corporate bond fund and the UK equity income fund – to the intermediary market.
Rosengarten commented, “We are delighted that someone of Ben Rumary’s quality and experience is joining us to strengthen our fund sales team. His appointment demonstrates Smith & Williamson’s commitment to grow our funds business and our commitment to the intermediary market.”
Rumary added, “Smith & Williamson is a well-respected firm and I relish the exciting opportunity of working closely with the rest of the sales team and intermediaries to help take our funds business to the next level.”
