Swiss manager Credit Suisse has named Andranik Safaryan as co-portfolio manager of its corporate bond-focused fund.
Safaryan’s main responsibility will be to co-manage the firm’s Luxembourg-domiciled Emerging Market Corporate Bond fund. He will work alongside Gonzalo Borja, who has been managing the fund since 2012, and holds the position of senior portfolio manager focused on emerging market fixed income.
The fund invests mainly in EM debt securities issued in US dollars.
Safaryan held different positions at Credit Suisse since he joined in 2011. Most recently, he worked as credit analyst specialised in hard currency debt. Prior to this, he worked at Clariden Leu.
The Credit Suisse Emerging Market Corporate Bond fund had assets under management of $527.55m (€448.24m) as at 18 August 2017.
