Generali Investments has announced the launch of two Sicav strategies, the GIS Euro Equity Controlled Volatility fund and the GIS Total Return Euro High Yield fund.
The equity offering is based on a rebrand of Generali’s existing equity fund, which is now available to all investors. It aims to offer exposure to large cap eurozone equities whilst limiting annual volatility to a maximum of 12.5% by using futures. It is managed by Daniele Marvulli, head of Quantitative Strategies bei Generali Investments, who has been with the group since the mid-90s.
The fixed income fund represents a new strategy pursuing an unconstrained total return approach with the aim of offering a response to the current liquidity and return challenges for bond investors. It includes euro high yield as well as cross currency bonds, credit default swap and currency derivatives and is managed by Stefano Perin (pictured).
