Marta Marin has been appointed new CEO of Amundi Iberia, the asset manager announced.
Marin is replacing Didier Turpin, who leaves office but remains in the group, with a new post in Paris, local media reported.
The new Amundi Iberia CEO started her career as currency trader at Spain’s Santander in 1988 before holding several positions in the group including head of Corporate Development of Santander Asset Management & Insurance Division.
In 2006, she joined Banesto, successively as head of Retail Product Development, head of AgroBanesto and head of iBanesto.com, the second digital bank in Spain.
In 2013, Marta returned to Santander where she was global head of Multichannel in the retail and commercial banking division.
Marin holds an MBA from INSEAD (France) and achieved a Senior Management Program (PADE) at IESE Business School (Madrid). She holds a university degree from Universidad Pontificia de Comillas.
