Santander Asset Management appoints head of Credit Research
Santander Asset Management has appointed Adam Harnetty as head of Credit Research, European Fixed Income.
Santander Asset Management has appointed Adam Harnetty as head of Credit Research, European Fixed Income.
He will be based in London and will report to Adam Cordery, global head of European Fixed Income.
Adam Harnetty has more than 25 years’ experience in the City, gained at a variety of major firms, including Schroders, Invesco, BNP, Kleinwort Benson and Ernst & Young.
He has worked across the full range of credit asset classes including investment grade, high yield and leveraged loans, and held senior fund manager and analyst positions. He is a qualified chartered accountant (ACA) and member of the ICAEW.
Harnetty will be responsible for managing Santander Asset Management’s team of four fixed income analysts, enhancing the credit investment process and supporting stock-selection decisions for the euro and sterling portfolios.
Adam Cordery, global head of European Fixed Income, said: “I am very happy that Adam has joined the firm. He is a great credit analyst with lots of experience, and will be a real asset for the European Fixed Income team.”
Adam Harnetty’s appointment follows last November’s appointment of David Scammell as Senior Manager for the Sovereign Bond Fund, and Fund Manager of the Santander Asset Management Government Bond Fund, reporting to Azim Meghji, Head of UK Fixed Income.
