Amundi has opened a Sweden Representative Office to boost its Nordic presence alongside the Helsinki branch that has been operating since 2005.
Amundi has opened a Sweden Representative Office to boost its Nordic presence alongside the Helsinki branch that has been operating since 2005.
The office will be used to develop Amundi’s ETF business in the region. The manager said this explained the addition of Bjorn Sandberg, who has joined as head of Amundi Sweden Representative Office and head of ETF Client Relationships, Nordic Region. Sandberg said the focus on promoting the Amundi ETF range would suit the demands of investors in the region.
Valérie Baudson, managing director of Amundi ETF, said: “Our product offering, based on three pillars, cost efficiency, innovation and quality of replication, has already attracted investors in France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. The creation of the Swedish office illustrates our commitment to continue our development.”
Fathi Jerfel, deputy CEO of Amundi, added: “The establishment of Amundi Sweden shows the group’s long-term commitment to facilitate access to its wide range of funds for its Nordic countries clientele.”
