Nordic asset manager Danske Capital is to extend use of SimCorp’s Dimension investment management platform to its front office.
Danske Capital, with €79bn under management, has previously been using SimCorp solutions for its back and middle office functions only.
Dimension, which is a full back to front office solution, should improve business competitiveness, Danske Capital chief operating officer Kurt Hangaard said.
“We know that our choice of IT platform is key to gaining a global, competitive advantage. In the front office it has been important for us to get a multi asset trading platform including electronic trading and with fast system response, even when processing large client/transaction volumes.”
“Equally important has been to get a system that will help us standardise and streamline workflows across the countries we operate in. We have found SimCorp’s front office suite to be the solution to all of that.”
Dimension will also improve the company’s ability to do straight through processing, such as electronic broker confirmation, Hangaard added.
SimCorp has been selling investment and portfolio management software to financial services companies since 1971. Clients include asset managers, fund administrators, pension funds, insurance funds and wealth managers.
