Germany-based independent asset manager DJE Kapital AG has launched a new share class of its multi-asset strategy dedicated to Italian institutional investors aimed at matching the high demand from banks and insurers in the region.
The DJE – Zinz & Dividende fund is a multi-asset and actively managed strategy that seeks to generate stable performance while emphasising an absolute-return approach with the goal to avoid loss of capital as far as possible. Through differentiated weighting of asset classes an active investment approach is taken in bonds and value equities to exploit the potential of both asset classes, stable returns and positive performance.
The fund aims for capital appreciation by respecting one significant investment constraint: at least 50% of the assets are permanently invested in fixed income and/or money market products in order to reduce volatility and to ensure that the fund can draw performance from diversified sources.
In the last two years, the fund has more than tripled its assets in the last two years and its assets under management standed at €1.12bn euro as of the end of September 2018.
Jan Ehrhardt, vice-chairman of DJE Kapital AG and in charge of the DJE – Zins & Dividende Fund since its inception, said: “Italy is a strategically important market for us. We are very happy to meet the local demand thanks to our investment approach and extend our offering to Italian institutional investors”.
The DJE – Dividende & Substanz I and the DJE – Concept I and the DJE – InterCash I are the other three funds of DJE Kapital AG that were already available to Italian institutional investors.
DJE Kapital AG was founded in 1974 and has some €12.5bn in assets under management.
