Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) has appointed Robert White as fund manager of the L&G UK Special Situations Trust.
Subject to FCA approval, White will bring a wealth of experience from working on high conviction portfolios and identifying structural growth ideas. He has typically managed unconstrained, concentrated portfolios of 30-40 stocks comprised of secular growth ideas which trade at compelling valuations. He will use his expertise to add value for clients in the longer term.
He joins LGIM from Mirabaud Asset Management where he was a fund manager of a long-only UK equity portfolio, and has significant experience in stock selection, identifying attractive investment opportunities for both institutional and retail clients. Prior to joining Mirabaud in 2013, White was a Senior Associate within Transaction Services for PricewaterhouseCoopers.
LGIM has also announced the appointments of Stuart Briscoe and Brad Jacobs. Briscoe joined the team in September as an equity analyst to work on LGIM's UK and Europe growth portfolios, reporting to Gavin Launder. He was previously at ICM where he was an equity analyst covering emerging markets, and has also held analyst roles at Sarasin and Henderson Global Investors.
Jacobs joined LGIM in October as an equity analyst for the Global Income and Real Income Builder strategies and reports to Nigel Masding. He joined from Goldman Sachs where he was an associate in the Investment Banking Division. Prior to this, he was an engineer at Anglo American.
