HANetf, the provider of a white label ETF platform, has targeted the German ETF market with the appointment of Andre Voinea as director, German and DACH Regions.
With over a decade of ETF sales experience, Voinea joins from FTSE Russell, but has also worked at ETF Securities and Nomura. His responsibility will be promoting HANetf funds to professional investors in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and he will report to co-CEO Hector McNeil.
In an additional appointment, Amy Simmons has been appointed digital marketing manager, following some three years of experience at BMO Global Asset Management and Natixis Investment Managers. She will report to Simon Mott, director of Marketing, and will overseee digital marketing and content distribution capabilities.
McNeil added: "Germany, Austria and Switzerland are some of the most important and sophisticated ETF markets in Europe and have strong institutional and retail participation. Andre has outstanding knowledge of the needs of ETF investors in these countries and his expertise will help propel the growth of HANetf products in those regions. Amy's background in ETFs, combined with her knowledge of modern digital marketing approaches will be of significant value to HANetf and our clients as we continue to grow."
The platform provider's first three ETFs listed on XETRA, Borsa Italian and London Stock Exchange in October, 2018, on behalf of two third party asset managers. HANetf said it has "multiple ETFs for different asset managers in the pipeline due to be listed first quarter and later in 2019. The company is currently talking to over 200 European, Asian and North American asset managers about establishing their first European Ucits ETFs."
