M & G Investments has strengthened its sales team in Germany and appointed Ingo Matthey as head of Institutional Business Development Germany.
In this newly created position, Matthey has been responsible for the development and expansion of customer relationships with insurance companies, pension funds and corporates in Germany since 1 January 2019.
He will also continue to develop the distribution of the real estate strategies of M&G Real Estate, the real estate investment division of M&G, in Germany. He reports to Werner Kolitsch, country head of Germany and Austria at M&G.
Matthey has been in the financial industry for 18 years and has more than 10 years of sales experience with institutional investors. He comes from Wells Fargo Asset Management, where he was sales director since 2015, where he was responsible for developing institutional client business in the German and Austrian markets. Previously, he was a partner at hs. Financial Products, which was acquired by Wells Fargo in 2015, and previously worked for DZ Bank for eight years.
