Luxembourgish family office Stanwahr enters Spain with two equity funds

Luxembourg's portfolio management firm Stanwahr has registered in Spain its Indépendance et Expansion Sicav in a move aimed at consolidating itself in the Spanish market.
Indépendance et Expansion Sicav is an equity fund targeting French and European Small and Mid Caps listed on regulated markets. The fund operates through two separate two-funds, France Small and Europe Small.
The Sicav follows a quality value investment element, in which the main elements of analysis are low price-to-cash-flows and high returns on capital employed, explains the firm on its site.
The team managing the funds is comprised by four portfolio managers: William Higgons, president of Stanwahr, manages the fund Indépendance et Expansion since 1992, alongside Audrey Bacrot, Arthur Marle, and Victor Higgons, all portfolio managers and analysts.
The company Stanwahr S.à r.l. is owned by the French company Evalfi, which is indirectly owned by a group of members of William Higgons' family.
