BNP Paribas WM has appointed Lorenzo Sánchez-Mangas as general deputy director, senior banker, on its Key Clients area led by Alfonso Martínez Parras.
With over 25 years' industry experience, Sánchez-Mangas joins BNP Paribas WM from UBS, where he worked for the firms' UHNWI division as senior banker during six years.
Prior to that, he worked at Goldman Sachs based in London, where he was first an equity trader, becoming later head of the Iberian Desk, Cash and Flow Derivatives. He started his career at Barclays Bank in Madrid in 1993.
In Spain, BNP Paribas Wealth Management has six offices (Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Bilbao, Sevilla and San Sebastián) and 155 employees, including 50 private bankers who provide services to 2,600 groups of clients.
The entity manages a total volume of assets of €6.5bn in Spain and €344bn worldwide as of December 2016.
