Invesco has appointed Charles Moussier as head of Insurance Investment Solutions for EMEA.
Based in Invesco's Paris office, Moussier will support the development of the firm's insurance business in the EMEA region while reporting directly to Alexandre Mincier, Invesco's global head of Insurance Client Solutions Development.
Moussier, who brings extensive investment banking and insurance experience to the role, joins Invesco from Natixis, where he was executive director for the investment banking division, responsible for developing the company's financial institutions advisory business. He was also deputy head of Global Investment Solutions and Senior Financial controller for the AXA Group, and before that, he was developing the insurance business of the Insurance & Pension Funds Solutions Group of Crédit Agricole CIB in Paris. He was also Head of Investments and ALM for AXA RE and started his career as scientific coordinator for Airbus Space in 2001, on the Mars express mission.
The Invesco Global Solutions team, of which Moussier will form part, builds multi-asset, outcome-oriented portfolios that are diversified by asset class and by investment style. Using advanced risk and portfolio analytics, this approach seeks to create portfolios that reflect investors' specific constraints, liabilities and objectives. The team draws upon Invesco's diverse active, passive and alternative investment capabilities to develop and manage customised multi-asset investment strategies.
Alex Mincier, Invesco's global head of Insurance Client Solutions Development, said: "European insurance investors face challenging market conditions, and we are thrilled to have someone of his experience and aptitude on the team."
