Madrid-based Arcano Partners has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with the German boutique DJE Kapital for the distribution of its funds in Spain.
DJE - Zins & Dividende Fund is one of the strategies that Arcano will distribute in the country. The Fund, a multi-asset strategy investing globally in bonds and equities primarily, seeks to generate stable performance while emphasising an absolute-return approach with the goal to avoid loss of capital as far as possible.
It aims for capital appreciation by respecting one significant investment constraint: at least 50% of the assets are permanently invested in fixed income and/or money market products in order to reduce volatility and to ensure that the fund can draw performance from diversified sources. As of the end of February 2019, the Fund had €1.43bn in assets under management.
Arcano Partners was founded in 2002 by Álvaro de Remedios as an investment bank, which is reflected in the fact that it remains the firm's main business accounting for some 60 out of 150 employees working for the firm.
Arcano is currently split into three divisions: Investment Banking, Asset Management - launched in 2006 and with around €4bn AuM -, and Multi Family Office.
