Société Générale Bank & Trust has expanded it private banking business in Germany and has opened a representative office in Frankfurt.
The team will be led by Petra Mennong, who was head of the Frankfurt office for online asset management Liqid. Previously, she worked for UBS Germany, as well as Vontobel and Safra-Sarasin Germany.
With the opening of the Frankfurt office, the French bank will will promote the main European markets from Luxembourg. In 2017, Société Générale had already opened a representative office in Milan.
Guido Zoeller, country manager for Germany & Austria said: "The offering of Société Générale Private Banking will complement our current portfolio of services and expertise in Germany with integrated wealth and succession planning, asset management, investment advisory, trading desk, structuring, including fund administration and insurance solutions."
