Phil Davis, assistant director, Sustainability & Climate Change at PwC is tackling the question of when will ESG shift into the true mainstream, when he speaks at the upcoming Pan-European ESG Summit Zurich 2019.
As such, Davis will consider future opportunities stemming from European ESG initiatives, as well as what to expect from the European Commission's Technical Expert Group on Sustainable Finance, and the Task Force on Climate Related Financial Disclosures.
Davis has had a central role in conducting and developing PwC's ESG due diligence and portfolio review service offerings to a wide range of clients. His work has also included the identification of ESG related opportunities and in some cases the validation of the potential value through cost benefit analysis of key ESG initiatives across a broad range of sectors. He has also developed ESG investment procedures and online platforms to several banks and private equity clients, as well as Excel based toolkits to assist investment teams to screen for ESG risks. Prior to joining PwC in 2008, heworked for AMEC Earth and Environmental as a technical environmental consultant.
