Italian online bank IWBank Private Investments (IWBank PI), UBI Banca Group's asset management firm, has expanded its wealth management division with the appointment of Alfonsino Mei.
Mei joins the firm's wealth management unit led by Andrea Di Salle, where he will be responsible for the firm's institutional business. The unit is made up of 30 professionals offering bancassurance services as well as a portfolio of 4,500 funds from 40 different asset management groups. The team works closely with the corporate and investment banking units of UBI Banca on corporate advisory and M&A, private equity or trust.
Mei joins IWBank from Deutsche Bank, where he worked for the last decade. He has also held the position of national councillor at Italy's representative association of financial advisory professionals Anasf since 2015.
